Flower Mound Scavenger Hunt

Six Copies of The Veritas Codes have been placed in little free libraries around Flower Mound, Highland Village, and Lewisville. Your first goal is to find one of these books with an envelope of instructions. These instructions will include 4 riddles that will ask you to take pictures at different landmarks around Flower Mound. To prove you have finished the game email the 5 pictures to elle.d.betz@gmail.com. 

The person or group who sends the photos will be entered in a random drawing for a $25 Amazon card. Winner will be drawn on Dec 31st at 12:00 noon. Winner will be announced on my Instagram page. ( So follow me if you have Instagram) Winner will be notified via  email.

Listen up Amateur Sleuths! 

It’s time to test your puzzle solving skills. To find a little library, use https://littlefreelibrary.org/map/ to narrow your search. All of the libraries with a copy of the book are South of Brazos Blvd in Highland Village, East of Long Prairie, North of Cross Timbers and West of I35. 

Once you find one of the six little libraries take the first of your five scavenger hunt photos. 

An envelope with puzzles to four Flower Mound locations will be inside the library box. All envelopes contain the same clue.  You can take the Veritas Code book to read, but please leave the envelope with clues for other hunters. 

You only need to find ONE of the SIX little libraries to begin the hunt.

 Can I take one of the books to read? YES! But please leave the envelope with the clue in the little library for someone else

Can I post pictures from the scavenger hunt on social media? YES! please also tag my author instagram name elledbetz1. Though, be careful about giving away answers to your competition. 

What if I get to a little library I’m certain is one of the six locations, and the book/clue envelope is not there?  You can email me or Instagram message me the name of the Library, if it is one of the six, I will just send you the written riddles so you can continue.  You can also try a different location. All six little library locations have the same scavenger hunt paper. 

If I do this with friends, who submits and is entered in the drawing? In the email,  include names of all who participated. Each person will have their name entered. 

What does the location picture need to capture? 

It will need to show an identified attribute of the location.  It is optional, but encouraged to have anyone part of the hunt included in the picture :-) 

What happens to the pictures? The pictures submitted will be used to verify game completion. They will not be used in any social media postings without written consent from guardians.
